Default Let's go make some builds! o_P.

I'll start.

[Ritual Lord][Shelter][Union][Displacement][Spirit Siphon][Great Dwarf Weapon]

Damage support alternatives: [Strength of Honor], [Splinter Weapon], or [Necrosis]

Added optional: [Pain Inverter], [Summon Spirits]

Area/team specific optional: [Ebon Battle Standard of Honor], ["You Move Like a Dwarf!"]

Go go support o_P. Shelter, union, and displacement can be maintained almost continously thanks to Ritual Lord and Spirit Siphons breezy 3 second recharge.

Highlights!
Great mix of damage mitigation and solid damage support.
Party wide Protective Spirit -> Groovy
0_P..

-If energy becomes an issue Boon of Creation may be added although even though some skills are pricey I'm thinking Spirit Siphon should handle it.

p_O..

I find it amusing that a channeling rit can now be as good a spirit spammer as a communing rit.
OACiIykMdNVO5Dix4NVN5MNACA

[signet of spirits][bloodsong][vampirism][splinter weapon][ancestor's rage][painful bond][boon of creation][summon spirits]

Although, somthing like this looks great for utility:
OACjAuiKpSXTZOnNRbbOVTOTDgA

[signet of spirits][dissonance][shadowsong][anguish][disenchantment][painful bond][boon of creation][summon spirits]

I took my RIt into the norn tourney this morning with :
Pain, Vampirism, Blood Song, Shadow Song, Agony, Signet of Spirits, Summon Spirits and Painful Bond
I cleaned house in under 4 mins, and i had to face Gwen with anti spirit spells, Danika and her two pets and Alesia.

Looks like i'm going to have a large stock pile of Dwarven ales soon.

Wow, Can't wait to try that on my new ritualist

I liked signet of spirits from the moment it was buffed. I also like the new [Armor of Unfeeling]

Spiritleech is, unfortunately, still in Restoration, so it won't work for any of these builds, really.

Spiritleech aura + Bloodsong + Vampirism = painful bond without targeting problems and over forty lifesteal from bloodsong. I think it goes well with spirit transfer:

[spiritleech aura][bloodsong][vampirism][signet of spirits][splinter weapon][spirit transfer][essence strike][summon spirits]

Signet of spirits, I put that sh** on everything!

Note: possible bug, Spiritleech Aura only works if you cast it after your spirits.

I wouldn't be so quick to write off Spiritleech Aura, for the simple fact that you can afford to invest in Restoration if you don't put a lot of points into Communing. You only need 6 Communing to make Armor of Unfeeling practically maintainable. You could go 12+1+1 Channel, 9+1 SP, 8+1 Rest, 5+1 Comm. You wouldn't sacrifice too much, and the benefits would be significant (14 lifesteal per spirit? Yes, please).

Plus, you can keep on spamming Splinter Weapon with that spread.

[Signet of Spirits][Bloodsong][Vampirism][Spiritleech Aura][Armor of Unfeeling][Boon of Creation][Splinter Weapon][Summon Spirits]

There's so many choices now, I'm having trouble coming up with just one build. Instead I have like 5 ideas, and half of them do the same thing.

honestly since the changes I see no need for Summon Spirits

Sos = instant
bloodsong = 3/4
vampirism = 3/4

why bother bringing them to your location, when you can recast them, and get the benefit from boon, or any of the other (+ on creation) enchantments.

Free up a slot for Feast, for party healing.

If that really stays up.. it's overpowered. Basically permanent party-wide Aegis, PS and SoA. I'll have to look into it

need the new armor in there, or one aoe attack takes down the whole farm.
but its possible to keep them up if they arent focused on.. and PVE, is kinda MEH at attacking defensive spirits.

Shelter costs wayyy too much to be able to keep casting binding rituals.

Maybe do-able if you have a BiP'er but they really should have made it where shelter costs 15en for PvE. Then you'd really be able to run the old Rit Lord setup.

Agreed, I've currently switched out Summon Spirits for Anguish and now have a chain from left to right resulting in 7 spirits being cast in 3 seconds with a net cost of 7 energy thanks to Boon of Creation. Still leaves room for Painful Bond and a Hard Res. Tell me what you guys think...

That's where Spirit Siphon comes from. With a 3 second recharge you have pretty smazzy energy management there.

I modified the first build a lil. Armor of unfeeling looks groovy as it'll reduce Shelter, Union, and Displacements damage to around 20 but the problem with it is it'll only work on the spirits in earshot when it's cast with and it has a hefty 20 sec recharge. However since it'll only take 25 damage per trigger and 100 health is gained from Summon Spirits every 5 seconds.. well that's spiffy stuff right there. It can be cast right before the battle and all 3 spirits can be maintained for quite a while, which is also very dandy because in a typical PvE mob a lot pressure on teams occur at the start.

[Ritual Lord]
[Shelter]
[Union]
[Displacement]
[Spirit Siphon]
[Splinter Weapon]
[Ancestor's Rage/Spirit Rift]
[?]

Optional
Great Drawfs Weapon over Splinter Weapon
Summon Spirits
Armor of Unfeeling

A build revolved around damage reduction, which can be very helpful, like placing a Displacement in the midst of a battle can relieve just enough pressure for the monks to regain control over healing. Here's another build I thought up which has better control with more direct support.

[Signet of Spirits]
[Feast of Souls]
[Splinter Weapon]
[Strength of Honor]
[Spirit Spihon]
[Spirit Rift]
[Ancestors' Rage]
[?]

Optional
Great Dwarf's Weapon over Splinter Weapon
Reversal of Damage
Summon Spirits (eh..)

No need to worry munch about energy with Spirit Spihon. In fact you can maintain Strength of Honor of 4 peeps if you're feelin' that groovy.

I like this one better but the Rit Lord one can be reaallly helpful in some areas. I'm thinking I would probably use the Ritual Lord one in unorganized high end areas while this one in typical missions/quests.

This one has a lot more damage but less damage mitigation than the previous. However it's form of healing support is very very good, one of the best in PvE. Shame SoS was reverted to it's 20 recharge else this build would be uber but it's still smazzy dazzy regardless. A 200-300 party wide heal when ever you want is pretty munch the bomb, yo. It'll relieve all pressure from the monks allowing them to regain control of the field and this is huge. Super hu3g. Like super duper hu3Gz.

Damage is nice too, most indirect but still spiffy. Strength of Honor will add +20 damage per attack and can be maintained on up to four other melees. With splinter (and it's 5 sec recharge) you can select an ally and expect all of their attacks to do 50 AoE damage around them per swing. Top that up with direct damage skills yourself, Spirit Rift (AoE 100 damage), Ancestor's Rage (AoE 80)- ..and also add Reversal of Damage to add a little damage mitigation support coupled with damage. Oh, and don't forget about your spirits doin' another 100 damage per hit. All thanks to Spirit Siphon too, no way you'd be able to handle that energy with out it. It's pretty dappy stuff.

I haven't thought of all the possible skills, because another huge pro of this build is the attributes. Unlike the previous build, which needed a moderate split between Communing, Spawning, and Channelin', this build only needs Channeling Magic- leading up to tons of other possible builds and supports. Say your feelin' up for some /necro. You can go Curses and add Mark of Pain, Enfeebling Blood, Necrois, or Barbs. Maybe go Death and add Putrid Bile and Putrid Explosion for nice AoE damage. This build can be adjusted to do what ever you want depending on the area, it's very similar to how Necro's use other professions because of their Soul Reaping ability. For Rit's however, it's now based of Signet of Spirits+Feast of Souls(HuGE support! Even with 20 sec recharge it's hUGE) and Spirit Siphons superior energy management.

EDIT

Here's a list of secondary skills I came up. General PvE skills can be added to any secondary making it more groovy.

General PvE skills
Pain Inverter
Ebon Battle Standard of Honor
"You Move Like a Dwarf!"
Tryptophan Signet

MESMER
Mantra of Inscriptions
Ether Nightmare
Cry of Pain

Mantra of Inscriptions will reduce SoS to around 12, makin' it a very uber skill. Very elite in certain areas, very very mucho.

MONK

Aegis
Protective Spirit
Life Bond
Shield of Absorption

Add even more support with monk skills. Protective Spirit. Yeh, nuff said.

NECRO

Necrosis

Blood Ritual
Order of Pain

Enfeebling Blood/Meekness
Mark of Pain
Barbs

Putrid Explosion
Putrid Bile
Rising Bile

Going under Death Magic is a really nice choice with it's huge amount of AoE damage. Putrid Explosion is just too good, dawg. Curses is also a nice support, Order of Pain for melees and Blood Ritual for your mages, whoop whoop.

o_P..

[Ritual Lord]
[Armor of Unfeeling]
[Air of Superiority] / [Summon Spirits]
[Boon of Creation]
[Spirit Siphon]
[Shelter]
[Displacement]
[Union]

Channeling - 8+1
Communing - 12 +1
Spawning Power - 10+3+1

At first glance, especially with Shelter, Is seems insanely energy intensive, but if you use Spirit Siphon every time you raise a spirit, you'll pretty much cover all your energy needs.

I don't know if it is the skill's intended effect, but I -believe- Armor of Unfeeling reduces the damage that these spirits naturally receive.

So you are looking at around a 13 second recharge on these skills, with perfect or near perfect energy management, and Armor of unfeeling reducing Shelter's received damage to about 25, Displacement's to 30, and Union's to measly 7/8 damage.

ow imagine running this with an Imbagon D:

First, thank you for posting this build. I'll have to try it out sometime later.

Secondly, I think the AoU thing is a bug but that will be up to the devs to decide.

And last, yes, I would love to see this along with an imbagon and just 1 monk on heals. I would also love to see a side-by-side comparison on the two builds, imbagon and Rit Lord.

We just did Justica Thommis and Rand Stormweaver last night. I was the Imbagon and we had a Ritualist with Offensive spirits, another with Defensive spirits such as those mentioned here and some filler professions.

Between the protection that I was able to put down using There's Nothing to Fear! and Save Yourselves! and the spirits, little no no healing was required. We did have a monk but he was not healing. The health back from There's Nothing to Fear seemed to be enough.

Shelter is life loss, not damage, so it isn't helped by armor of unfeeling.
